PURA VIDA is the famous phrase in Costa Rica, literally means Pure Life or Good Life, San José de Capital, is a 2 hours from the pier on the way to San José, we will cross, the central mountain range to get into the central valley were the capital is located, when we get to San José we are going to start with a visit, to la Sabana Area (residential area), and then we take the second avenue or Paseo Colón straight to the downtown we are going to stop at the Plaza the la Cultura, the heart of the city, an excellent place to get a feeling for Costa Rican Pura Vida. The plaza around is where some vendors sell everything, hammocks, T-shirts, lottery tickets.

Also here is located the spectacular Teatro Nacional, the pride of San José you will get inside with you're tour guide and walk around. This beautiful building designed in the style of the opera the old Paris opera, the theatre is where President Kennedy met with the conference of Central American Presidents in March 1963, a few months before his assassination.

After this we walk six bocks throw the central avenue to the National Museum . The fortress was built around 1870 as the headquarters for the Costa Rican Army, was converted in 1948 the year the army was abolished, into the National Museum .
