POAS VOLCANO AND SARCHI ARTISAN TOWN Poas volcano is just 2 hours from the pier, is home to one of the world's most easily accessible active volcanos, with history of eruptions, Poas´s last eruption was in 1967, but this mammoth volcano's caldera, 1 mile wide, has active fumaroles up to 984 feet deep.
